Refurbishment
TIR has the capacity to undertake refurbishment and re-building of narrow gauge railway vehicles to a high standard.
TIR has recently completed in a very short lead time, radical modification and refurbishment of an ex RNAD box van to represent the first new vehicle for the proposed revival of the Glyn Valley Tramway Trust. The wagon is based on the original pair of vans that ran on the Tramway until closure in the 1930s. The work has involved overhaul of the chassis and total re-construction of the body using a mixture of new sustainable hardwood and some of the original planking.
